Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk

Chris plays:

“Playing in a two piece, my amp needs to deliver the full spectrum of sounds - a fat bottom without being muddy, punchy mids and clear bright top end without being shrill. I need versatility and I need it in one amp. My tone is my signature, that's why I love my AC30.”

Regularly described as one of the hardest working bands in Australia, Chicken Walk received the 'Golden Boot' at Golden Plains in 2013 and have supported Santana, Tony Joe White, Gary Clark Jr, Chris Issak and many more.

Inspired by his annual trips to the U.S., Chicken Walk sounds like a cross between North Mississippi Hill Country Blues and Melbourne Rock swagger. A self-titled debut record at the end of 2012 was followed closely by a second album, 'Shakedown' in mid-2013.

Described by acclaimed U.S. critic Rick Saunders as sounding like 'a menacing threat from your new wife's ex-boyfriend, calling from prison in the middle of the night'.
